Why are there customs costs?
Duties and taxes are not included in the order price and are the recipient's responsibility. Customs policies vary by country, we recommend contacting your local customs office if you have questions before placing your order.
Who handles them?
Customs costs are handled directly by the carrier (UPS or DHL) together with your country's customs authority. Nomad Coffee has no control over the applicable duties and cannot cover these additional costs.
Can customs procedures cause delays?
Yes, customs clearance can add days to the usual delivery timeframe. It's something outside our control, but we'll stay in touch with the carrier to keep you informed.
What if the package gets held up?
Open a ticket with your order number and the details of the hold. We'll do everything we can and stay in close contact with the carrier so you have all the information.
